Pressed Flower Art & Preservation

Handcrafted Heirlooms, From Your Blooms
● About
Preserving your bouquet or memorial flowers with artistry and intention.
Marlowe Design is a pressed flower preservation studio serving Northeast Ohio, including Cleveland, Akron, and surrounding areas. We specialize in preserving wedding bouquets, memorial flowers, and other meaningful blooms through traditional flower pressing techniques and custom framing.
Each creation is a collaboration between art and memory; thoughtfully designed, hand-pressed, and beautifully preserved in locally sourced hardwood frames built by skilled Ohio craftsmen. This is floral preservation reimagined as a piece of timeless, heirloom-quality art.
Where Craftsmanship Meets Sentiment
“We work with fresh flowers within just a few days of your event and use traditional wooden flower presses to preserve them flat.”
What Makes Our Work Different
The details matter.
-
Each frame can take 10-15 hours total. We deconstruct flowers, dry them by pressing them flat, reconstruct petals, design, glue, and frame. There are no shortcuts here and your frame will be an heirloom art piece you can enjoy for years to come.
-
All frames are built by a skilled woodworker using locally sourced hardwood. These are heavy, heirloom-grade frames—built to last and made with pride. No mass-produced box store frames here.
-
With a home studio in Willoughby, OH, we serve clients locally through drop-off and pickup, keeping your flowers safe in the hands of a local artist. While we do accept shipped flowers from beyond our region, our heart is rooted in serving our Northeast Ohio community.
● Meet the Artist: Erin Frank
The Story Behind the Frame
Hi, I’m Erin. I am an artist, wife, and mom of three daughters. My journey into flower preservation began as a loving gift for my sister’s wedding. I had no formal training; just a creative heart, an old scrap-wood flower press, and a stroller full of bolts from the hardware store.
What started as a single project quickly became a calling. I learned, experimented, and discovered a process I loved. I preserved both my sisters’ bouquets, and Marlowe Design was born.
“Everyone always asks, are you Marlowe? The truth is, Marlowe was the name that came to me while I was pregnant. It never quite fit my daughter, but it fit this dream.”
My grandmother Alma, an artist herself, inspired this journey. She sends me red poppies as signs of encouragement, reminding me that she’s proud I’m finally embracing the art I was always meant to create. I hope when you visit my site or scroll through my Instagram, you feel that same joy.
